Kelvin Tan

Kelvin Tan is the the co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Origin Capital Singapore, an asset management firm that takes majority or minority stakes in high growth, profitable and cash flow positive companies across a wide range of sectors, ranging from healthcare and proptech to media, financial and corporate services. Kelvin is also one of the founders of the Africa Southeast Asia Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves as its Secretary-General (SE Asia), playing a key role in cross border Africa-Asia trade and investments.
Passionate about emerging markets, he is also a founding board member of the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce, headquartered in Singapore. He is is also a Board Member and Non-executive Director of GTR Ventures.
Prior to his current portfolios, Kelvin has served in leadership positions at Singapore’s Ministry of Trade & Industry, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore. In 2011/12, he was named as an international business fellow for the Middle East and China by the Singapore government. A recipient of Singapore’s Public Service Commission scholarship, Kelvin graduated with double masters in architecture and real estate investment in France and has attended leadership programs at the Harvard Business School, the National University of Singapore, and Tsinghua University in Beijing.
