The 2017 Annual Meeting unfolded in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire on October 9. 

 

The day also marked a milestone for ASEACC as the Annual Meeting was followed by the launch of the ASEACC Africa Office in Abidjan. Prior to the launch, a press conference was given by ASEACC’s Co-Presidents Mr Jean K. Diagou and Mr S.S. Teo, Secretary-Generals Mr Kelvin Tan and Mr Didier Acouetey, as well as Chairman of ASEACC’s Advisory Board Mr Paulo Gomes. The launch ceremony ended with a networking cocktail. 

 

The following day, the leadership and members of ASEACC paid a visit to the Ivorian Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly. During the meeting, the Prime Minister shared about investment opportunities in Côte d'Ivoire, highlighting key industries and sectors such as transport and infrastructure. 

 

Notably, ASEACC’s visit to Abidjan and launch of its regional office there was also featured in major French-language newspapers published in Côte d'Ivoire including Fraternité Matin, L'Expression and Le Journal de l’Économie.
