Banking and Insurance - Cote d'Ivoire

The Nouvelle Société Interafricaine d'Assurances (NSIA) Group was established in Côte d'Ivoire in 1995, and has since grown both organically and externally to be a market leader in the insurance and banking industry in West and Central Africa, with a cumulative turnover of 336 million USD (163 billion FCFA) in 2012.

The insurance pole of NSIA comprises of 23 companies, offering a comprehensive range of insurance products, including life, fire, travel, transportation, motor, and multi-risk coverage insurance services, realizing a cumulative turnover of 256 million USD (124 billion FCFA) in 2012, which was a 8% increase from 2011.

Banking - Egypt

The African Export Import Bank (Afreximbank) was established in Abuja, Nigeria in October 1993 by African Governments, African private and institutional investors as well as non-African financial institutions and private investors for the purpose of financing, promoting and expanding intra-African and extra-African trade.

The mission of the Bank is to stimulate a consistent expansion, diversification and development of African trade while operating as a first class, profit-oriented, socially responsible financial institution and a centre of excellence in African trade matters. Through its operations, the Bank has facilitated intra-African trade, improves trade-supporting infrastructure in the continent, and improved the share of value-added exports and export diversification of African entities.

Infrastructure - Cote d'Ivoire

Scanning Systems SA specialises in the design, financing, construction and operation of infrastructure in the transport and energy projects, according to the Build-operate-transfer (BOT) model.

The goal of the company is to be the preferred partner of African institutions (UEMOA-ECOWAS-CEMAC, SADC etc.) for the realization of Public-Private-Partnership structuring projects in the field of transport and the energy.

The company had transitioned from a family-run enterprise to a full fledge company that was embarking on its next growth phase known as "Africa 50". This would involve expanding its operations to encompass logistics, trade facilitation, and the transportation of goods for a multitude of businesses.

Auditing and Consulting, Morocco

Mazars is a leading international firm specialising in audit, tax, and advisory services. In Africa, they have a strong presence with over 2,900 professionals and 150 partners spread across 45 offices in 26 countries. This makes them one of the top 7 audit and advisory firms on the continent.

Food Distribution - The Democratic Republic of Congo

Mike Food & Services started out as a food distributor and later expanded into other sectors like Logistics, Real Estate, E-commerce, Oil, Innovation and Heavy Industry.

Additionally, the company’s stakeholders were involved in the construction and mining activities, particularly in limestone extraction. As such, the company would be venturing into the corporate mining sector and is also actively exploring the water purification, chemical and medical sectors.

Fertilizers and Chemicals - Morocco

OCP Africa was created in 2016 to contribute to the sustainable development of African agriculture. Working closely with smallholder farms, OCP Africa develops fertilizer solutions tailored to local conditions and crop needs, and connects farmers to the agricultural services, knowledge and resources they need to prosper.

OCP Africa invests in training and education programs to equip farmers and entrepreneurs with the skills needed to contribute to Africa’s agricultural growth.

Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage - Mauritania

Maurilog has been engaged in the fisheries business, primarily as the sole supply and processing agent for Yamaha over the past three decades.

By providing a comprehensive range of services like waste management, Maurilog helps companies in the energy and mining sectors in Mauritania operate more efficiently and effectively.

Additionally, Maurilog is now in the business of octopus processing for exporting to Japan and is partnering with DB Schenker in Senegal and Mauritania on oil and gas.

Banking and Financial Services - Côte d’Ivoire

Mansa Bank was established as a bank entirely owned by African stakeholders, that was tailored to the local environment. The bank currently operates within the African banking sector but has ambitions to broaden its collaborations and extend beyond Africa’s borders, to contribute to the continent’s future development on a global scale.

Mansa Bank supports youth entrepreneurship through the program Jeunes Mansa where young visionaries present their projects and stand to win financial backing.

Financial Services - Cameroon

Atlantic Financial Group is a significant player in the banking industry within the West African region. In 2017, they diversified from their banking role and evolved into an international banking entity catering to the needs of the broader regional landscape, a transformation that culminated in 2021, when many international banks started to depart from Africa.

CR Grupo

Agro-industry and Trade – Guinea-Bissau

The CR Group is divided into two sectors: the first is global commodity trading in Guinea-Bissau, and the second is the industrialization of the cashew sector in Guinea-Bissau and value-added processing and packaging in Portugal. The Group has been expanding its trade volume of basic commodities and is working to grow its manufacturing capacity and expand its business to other West African countries.

BMSC LOGISTIQUE

Supply Chain Management – Guinea

Business Mercantile Services Company LOGISTIQUE (BMSC LOGISTIQUE) was established in Guinea in 2002. Since then, BMSC Logistique has been operating in Logistics and mining services, outsourcing for mining and industrial companies and proposing optimized and tailored solutions.

BMSC LOGISTIQUE is expanding its scope to include transportation and effective management, and the company seeks to ensure ongoing growth within Guinea, capitalizing on the transport corridor between Guinea and Mali, to be able to ship goods from Bamako.
